At Mekanik, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by sending us an email. This page describes how to submit a deletion request, what data will be deleted, and what data may be retained.

How to Request Account Deletion

To request the deletion of your account and all associated data, please follow these steps:

Send an Email Request

  1. Send an email to [email protected] from the email address associated with your Mekanik account.
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request".
  3. In the email body, include your full name and confirm that you want your account and all associated data to be permanently deleted.
  4. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once the process is complete.

What Happens After Your Request

We receive your email and verify that it matches a registered account. If needed, we may contact you for additional identity verification.

Your account is deactivated immediately and all personal data is queued for permanent deletion.

Within 30 days, all deletable data is permanently removed from our systems. You will receive a final confirmation email.

Data That Will Be Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

  • Profile information (name, email address, password)
  • All tasks, task runs, and execution history
  • All scraped records and data lists
  • Device registrations and pairing data
  • Connected accounts, API keys, and provider configurations
  • Wallet balance and credit information

Data That May Be Retained

Certain data may be retained for a limited period after account deletion for legal and business compliance purposes:

  • Payment transaction records and invoices — retained for 5 years for tax and accounting compliance.
  • Data required by law enforcement or legal proceedings — retained as required by applicable law.
  • Anonymized, aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked back to your identity.

Deletion Timeline & Retention Period

Account deletion requests are processed within 7 business days of receiving your email. All personal data and associated records are permanently deleted within 30 days of processing. Payment and transaction records are retained for up to 5 years in compliance with financial regulations. Anonymized usage statistics may be retained indefinitely as they contain no personally identifiable information.
